After reading the book Profit First by Mike Michalowicz, I could see how this method could help my clients. Going through the Profit First Professionals Certification process, I learned how to implement it in my firm. After all, I needed to test the system and “practice what I preach” if I was going to set it up for my clients. At the end of the first quarter, I could see the rhythm of the cash flow going in and out, and I had more clarity than ever in my business. One last thing I needed to do was to meet Mike in person and go to the home office in Boonton, NJ. The home office team at Profit First is dedicated to supporting PFPs anyway they can. As a financial, retirement and tax planner, I have always had a long-term focus for my clients, but now, by becoming a Certified Profit First Professional, I can do my part to help eradicate entrepreneurial poverty one client at a time.
