Have you changed jobs and have a retirement account with your former employer? You may have 4 options:
1. Leave it with the former employer.
2. Move it to your new employer.
3. Roll the account over to an Individual Retirement Account.
4. Cash it out, which is subject to potential tax costs.
It depends on your circumstances to determine what may be the best answer, you will want to look at costs, investment options and tax implications. If you are in this situation and would like to ask more questions please contact me.

The account remains in the parent's name until the child turns 18. Money can be added to the account but at this time no more additions will come from the government. The funds will grow tax free.
