The other day, I got an email from “Microsoft” saying my account had “suspicious activity” and that I needed to log in immediately to secure it. My heart jumped for a second—until I noticed something was off. The email address looked weird, and the link they wanted me to click didn’t go to Microsoft’s actual site. (I didn't click on the link, I could tell from the address).
Scammers are getting really good at making emails look legit. Some of the most impersonated brands in phishing scams right now are:
🔹 Microsoft & Google – Fake login alerts that steal your password
🔹 Apple & PayPal – "Your account is locked" scams
🔹 Amazon & Banks – Phony order confirmations and fake security warnings
Rule of thumb: If you get an unexpected email like this, don’t click anything. Go to the company’s website directly and check for issues there.
