Myth: “I have an LLC, so I don’t pay self-employment tax.”
❌ Not necessarily!
If your LLC is taxed as a sole proprietorship or partnership, you’re generally still responsible for self-employment tax on your net earnings. Your business structure matters more than the name on your paperwork.
