Mark’s career as a financial advisor spans over 23 years, maintaining his affiliation with the same firm in the Pittsburgh area. Mark holds over five professional financial designations, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation, Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation, Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®) designation and the Certified Fund Specialist® (CFS®) designation. Mark gives back to the community where he lives and has worked as an Associate Member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) since 2000. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Beth El Congregation as the Assistant Treasurer and member of the Endowment Committee, the UJF Professional Advisory Committee and the Robert Rodrigues Scholarship Fund. Mark has previously served on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer for Pittsburgh Cares, and is still an active community volunteer with the group. Mark has previously served as a Board Member and Chairman of the Membership Committee for the Chamber of Commerce, and the Anti-Defamation League. Mark’s hobbies include Indian Princesses, coaching, music, volunteer work, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mount Lebanon School District activities, word games and annual coordination of a Stock Challenge for a local non-profit organization. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in Economics from Pennsylvania State University. Mark is married, with three beautiful daughters. While it didn't look like there would be a change to tax day this year, the IRS has ultimately extended the filing and payment due date to May 17th.

IR-2021-59, March 17, 2021 — The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service announced today that the federal income tax filing due date for individuals for the 2020 tax year will be automatically extended from April 15, 2021, to May 17, 2021.

While the IRS extended the tax-filing deadline last year, that doesn't appear to be the case for 2021.
