Well there is one week left. Made it to the end of another busy year. I want to thank everyone for your confidence in us to not just prepare and file your taxes but for your referrals to your friends and family. With your support we are going to be here for you for a really long time. As always Steve Dukes threw me a couple of curve balls but was able to work through it and learn from them. He is always right over my shoulder watching. I would like to send a special shout out to all of our first responders for putting in such long hours to keep us safe. Thank you for your service.

We do not shut down on April 15th but we do slow down. We are here 12 months a year so leave a message I will get back to you.

We are full speed ahead
Couple of new things added at the last minute.
Overtime is tax deductible up to $12,500 single or $25,000 married filing jointly
Tips are deductible up to $25,000 and that has a income limit of $150,000 single and $300,000 for married
There is a Enhanced Senior Provision that gets most of the seniors an extra $6,000 on their standard deduction.
There is a No Tax on Interest. If you bought a new car last year there is a worksheet that can be used to see if you qualify. You would need to include the Vin # and the total interest paid on the car loan for 2025.
All of these new deductions are for only 3 years so I want everyone to know so they can take advantage of these “Beautiful” tax deductions Tips have always been reported on a different line on the W-2. Because of the late implementation of the Overtime deduction employers were not required to provide the employee with a figure to deduct Please provide the last paycheck with your paperwork that will have the total overtime amount.

The weather is turning cooler so that must mean the dreaded time of the year is right around the corner. We are here to make it easier for you. Get the holidays out of the way and give us a call.

Here is a checklist that my father in law Steve Dukes created. Some of the deductions are gone now with President Trump raising the standard deduction in his first term. Still very helpful and Steve would have a few curse words if I didn’t give him credit.

Listen to 105.7 the X this morning The donations we received for the Children’s Miracle Network were sent in. This is something that Steve was excited every year to do and we wanted to keep it going in his memory. Thank you all that donated. See ya next year
