Part of my job as State Representative is to be diligent and not react out of fear or complacency.
As of the noon report on COVID19 today, Caddo Parish has 115 cases and Bossier Parish has 32 cases.
These are the numbers, and they will go up. Several of us may become infected. Our goal, as odd as this sounds, is to become infected at a slow enough rate that we don’t overwhelm our medical providers.
A complete halt of society is not the solution to COVID19. If we only focus on solving the public health problem, we will wreak havoc on the economy. If we focus solely on keeping the economy humming, we will wreak havoc on public health. Balance is key!
I am proud of the people of District 1 for keeping a level head about themselves, while working together to protect and provide for the most vulnerable in our communities.
