There has been quite a bit of confusion over the government allowing taxpayers to "pay" their taxes by July 15th. At that time the "filing" deadline was still April 15th.

This morning it was announced that due to confusion and to help taxpayer, and practitioners, the file by date was moved from April 15th to July 15th to match the pay by date.

And the pay by date means that you file your taxes now and you have until July 15th to pay the bill without incurring penalties or interest.

The IRS does not have this on their website yet but this was just announced less than 4 hours ago. Takes them some time.

Freedom Tax is a LOCALLY owned business, invested in our community. We live right here in Stockton and see many of you throughout the year in various places.
When you engage me to help you with your tax concerns, you get me, not someone hired by an outside absentee owner. I tried that in Arizona and it just doesn't work. We are not a franchise nor do I wish to have multiple offices. Tried that too!
I've been in business since 2009 and when I saw a need for reasonable fees, locally, in town, I decided to bring my practice here. I still serve many of my Arizona clients but would be truly honored to serve you as well.

Just a reminder... the window to start filing is right around the corner.
January 27th! I've re-offered my clients the option to have your fees taken out of your refund (if you qualify) so you can file your taxes today with no money up front. I used to offer this in Arizona and was wonderfully received!
