What a beautiful, full-circle moment! I'm proud of you, Rachel, and I know that your dad would be too.

Last week, I had the privilege of traveling to Stuttgart to attend Entergy’s Transmission Connection event.

On the surface, it looks like a stereotypical business trip where one might connect with people about doing business together. But for me, this experience was much deeper, and it all comes down to how we came to be there.

My dad, Mickey Coyle, worked for Entergy for 27 years before he passed away in 2010. My mom was a stay-at-home mom, so my entire childhood was supported by his career there. When I first joined GenWealth, I wasn’t yet an advisor. From behind the scenes, I’d see how many Entergy employees our advisors served and often quietly wondered if any of them had known my dad.

Years later, I made the decision to move from the Admin Team into an advisor role. That transition allowed me to begin meeting with Entergy employees myself, which was something that mattered deeply to me because of the connection to my dad.

While I was still in training, I sat in on an appointment with a couple who both worked for Entergy. During the conversation, we realized the husband had known my dad. He shared stories about my dad’s leadership, his standards, and the impact he had on so many men who still work for Entergy today. Hearing those stories, especially from someone who experienced them firsthand, was incredibly meaningful.

Almost a year later, the wife of that same couple reached out and invited us to attend Transmission Connection to talk to more Entergy folks who might need our help on their journey to financial independence. Being welcomed into that space by someone connected to my dad’s story felt like a true full-circle moment.

I’m incredibly grateful for the invitation, the relationships, and the opportunity to serve the Entergy community. The values of integrity, high standards, and genuine care for people that my dad carried into his work are the same values that guide how I serve my clients today.

It just looks like math. There is more to it than that.

It might have seemed random. There was more to it than that.

Today, at Focus, we had the opportunity to see Mentalist Lior Suchard blow our minds. The number you see on this screenshot of my calculator was made up of random numbers given by the audience, as well as personal numbers that Lior could not have predicted, like the height of his randomly chosen guests, etc. He took all those numbers and had us all add them together.

Note the time of the photo.

The number that you see as the answer on the calculator is today’s date and exact time when he revealed the answer to this math question.

This was not at all the most mind-boggling thing he did.

I don’t understand how he does what he does, but here’s what I do know. When you think that you know all that your mind is capable of, you don’t. There’s more to it than that.

When you think that you know all that your body is capable of, you don’t. There is more to it than that.

As creatures who were created in the image of our God, I believe that we have so much more capacity and ability than we ever tap into.

When you think that you’ve reached the limits of whatever the challenge is before you, there is more in you than that.

Putting in some running time this morning in San Diego!

This beautiful city has led to so much growth for our team over the years, crossing the billion dollar threshold last year and 20 years with LPL last month.

During our Get Fried Week, we make a lot of progress on projects together, and we also have some fun team time.

Top Golf for the win!

We had a great time! Things that I learned today:
- Peyton has a future as a financial advisor AND a golfer.
- Alec is better as a one-handed golfer than I am with both hands, but we aren't surprised by that.
- Brandon can rock a pair of cowboy boots even when he is golfing. Who says that "Cowboy Golf" isn't a thing?
- Brian is as competitive and focused as I thought he would be, and he balanced it well with fun and laughter! Best laugh in town!
- Rachel had never played before, but she embraced the challenge and was amazing. This is her year to do new things!
- Teresa is hilarious as a golfer and might have learned some smack talk from me over the years.
- and me - Well, as the oldest one in the group, I achieved my two goals, barely. - not injuring my shoulder and not coming in last!

It was a blast! I love my team!
