We are so thankful for all of the OREMC and GA Power employees that have been working tirelessly to get power restored in our community. This is a reminder that we will NOT have school tomorrow (Monday) as we do not have power restored at all schools, and we still have employees and families experiencing challenges and hardships as a result of hurricane Helene. Additionally - what day this week we will be able to return to school will be based on power and schools being fully operational.
Brantley Schools Update (9/28/2024):
Due to the widespread power outage in Brantley County, Brantley Schools will be closed until further notice. Both OREMC and GA Power have been communicating with school officials and are working hard to get power restored to our schools and families. Once power is restored, we will want to bring our students back to school as soon as possible. Resuming normal school operations will be a day-to-day decision based on when all of our schools are operational and when most of our community has power restored. With so many in our community facing challenges, we are thankful to live in a community where folks take care of one another. Please help us communicate by sharing this information with your neighbors. Additional updates will be posted here and communicated via our mass text out messaging system. Thank you for your continued support and patience as we navigate the impact of Hurricane Helene together.
