Friends and clients applying to the $349B Paycheck Protection Program:

I read an article in The Washington Post this morning referring to the program as a ‘sharply streamlined, same-day approval process unheard of in the history of federally backed small-business lending.’

With almost 20 years in the financial services industry, I can tell you this process will be FAR from the above description. Banks are not prepared for this, and no, it isn’t their fault. Also - this will not be a same day approval. The best thing you can do is connect with your CPA, get your documents in order, and communicate (patiently) with your banker.

Dear Clients,

We know that right now is an uncertain time for many individuals and small businesses. Miller Advisors wants you to know that we are still operating on a regular schedule in order to serve all clients big and small.

Thankfully, the federal government has extended the tax deadline to pay and file by July 15, 2020 to all individuals and corporations who generally file by April 15, 2020. In light of this extension we do hope to keep on schedule as much as possible with only a small delay in getting your return filed.

However, we are seeing an increase in specific time-sensitive tasks related to the COVID-19 crisis and are currently prioritizing our clients who have lost revenue and/or are experiencing lay-offs.
If your return has yet to be completed and filed, be assured that your case is still on our schedule and we will reach out to you if we should need any additional information.

If you currently have an in-person appointment scheduled and would feel more comfortable meeting via Zoom, please let us know.
