We officially have an IRS Open Date!!!

The IRS will open to Individual Returns on January 26, 2026. They have not released a Business Return Open Date as of yet.

The IRS finally issued an opening date:
February 12, 2021. They will not start accepting returns until that date.

What does this mean for you?

First of all, the first refunds will probably not hit bank accounts until mid-March.

Second, once they open, they WILL get backed up...quickly! File with your tax preparer as early as you can to avoid the backlog.
