New scam alert!
Scammers are sending letters now stating that your refund could not be deposited and to scan the QR CODE to update your bank info…the person who received this letter thankfully called because they knew they paid in this year and the letter was dated next week.

*edit if you did NOT get your refund and get a letter it may be real. Go to IRS.gov to track your refund and follow the steps if action is required.

Let me remind everyone, the IRS will NEVER CALL YOU! The phone calls are SCAMS! Please don't call them back or give any personal information to them. Be careful with your financial information!!

People please keep in mind the IRS will not call you on the phone and request money for back taxes, return errors, or anything else. They will send you a certified letter, not an email, text message, or phone call. There is an IRS scam going on right now and it has hit our area. Please be careful you don't become a victim!
