"Success isn’t just making it to your destination; it is making it home. We would like everyone, truckers and motorists, to be able to do that safely."

Meet Jeff - a professional truck driver with 23 years of experience who has accumulated 2 million safe driving miles.

"A safe driving day begins before you even get into your truck. It begins physically by getting enough rest and feeling well. It's just as important to be mentally and emotionally well. Every driver should be focused on driving safely to their destination and ultimately home."

Driven by Safety.

“Just a trucker.”

**Three words that don’t begin to tell the whole story.**

Behind every truck on the road is a professional who spends long hours away from home, works through weather and challenging conditions, and misses moments with family—all while keeping the goods we depend on moving.

During Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we encourage you to take a few minutes to watch **“Just a Trucker.”**

To North Dakota’s professional truck drivers: **thank you for the miles, the sacrifices, and the work you do every day to keep our communities moving.**

🚛 Happy Truck Driver Appreciation Week!

Without truckers, store shelves would be empty; hospitals would not have medical supplies; gas stations would not have gas. It's not a stretch to say life as we know would cease to exist. It's time to thank those men and women who spend sometimes months on the road away from home at a time to supply us with our necessities.

North Dakota Motor Carriers Association (NDMCA) celebrates National Truck Driver Appreciation Week by saying thank you to the professional drivers who keep North Dakota moving. It is partnering with the North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to hand out free lunches to truck drivers.

Hand outs will take place on September 16 at the eastbound I-94 Apple Creek Rest area east of Bismarck and at the westbound Maple Valley Scale House west of Fargo.
