📢 **Information Overload is Real!** 😱

Everyone wants to save money on taxes, but with advice coming from Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and countless online "experts," it can be overwhelming to know who to trust.

The truth is that **every taxpayer's situation is different.** What works for one person or business may not work for another. There is no one-size-fits-all tax strategy.

✅ The best approach is to work with a qualified tax professional who takes the time to understand your unique situation, provides clear tax advice tailored to your specific needs, and communicates with you throughout the year—not just during tax season.

Don't make important tax decisions based on a 30-second video or a social media post. Make sure you're getting advice that's right for **you**.

📋 IRS audits are rare, and I'm thankful to say that none of my clients have ever been audited! 🙌

But audits do happen. That's why I prepare every tax return as if it could be audited and make sure the proper documentation is in place. 📑

Why do taxpayers lose audits? 🤔

Usually, it's not because the IRS is smarter or tougher. It's because of missing receipts, poor recordkeeping, or incomplete documentation. 🧾❌

Organization is key! Keep your receipts, maintain accurate records, and stay on top of your bookkeeping throughout the year. 📁✅

Remember: A deduction is only as good as your ability to prove it.

⚠️ Have you received a CP2000 Notice from the IRS? ⚠️

Many taxpayers are receiving CP2000 notices due to income reported on 1099-K forms from payment platforms like PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and other similar apps.

The problem? 🚨
The IRS may assume all payments reported are taxable income when some transactions were actually personal — such as:
✔️ Sending money to friends or family
✔️ Reimbursements
✔️ Shared expenses
✔️ Personal transfers

❗Please do NOT ignore these notices.
It’s very important to respond and explain the transactions correctly to avoid unnecessary taxes, penalties, or further IRS issues.

If you received a CP2000 notice and need help understanding or responding to it, please call me to schedule a consultation. I’m here to help! 📞

✨️Meals Deductions✨️

Keeping up with new tax laws can be a challenge. One question I get asked very often is about the deductibility of business meals. 🍽️

Here's a great chart you can save and use as a guide.

💡 A question I often hear is: “Why can’t I deduct all of my medical expenses on my tax return?”

The IRS does allow medical expenses as an itemized deduction, but there are important rules. 📝

✔️ Medical expenses are only deductible to the extent they exceed 7.5% of your adjusted gross income (AGI).

Example:
If your AGI is $80,000, the first $6,000 of medical expenses is not deductible.

$80,000 × 7.5% = $6,000

If you had $10,000 in qualified medical expenses:

$10,000 - $6,000 = $4,000 deductible medical expense

✔️ You must itemize deductions on Schedule A to receive a tax benefit.

✔️ Qualified expenses may include:
• Doctor visits
• Prescriptions
• Dental & vision care
• Health insurance premiums (in some cases)
• Mileage to medical appointments
• Certain medical equipment and treatments

Many taxpayers are surprised to learn that even with medical expenses, the standard deduction may still provide the larger tax benefit. 📊

💡 Tax Planning Isn’t Just for the Wealthy — It’s for Anyone Who Wants Fewer Tax Surprises! 💡

When I first became an adult and started filing tax returns, I would get excited to see how big my refund would be 🎉

But as life gets more complicated — businesses, investments, retirement, kids, multiple income sources — taxes can become more confusing… and sometimes instead of a refund, you end up owing 😳

Surprise!

That’s when I realized there had to be a better way. A way to plan ahead, create a strategy, and legally reduce tax liability instead of just reacting at tax time.

That’s why I LOVE tax planning ❤️

Tax planning helps you:
✔️ Avoid unexpected tax bills
✔️ Understand how financial decisions affect your taxes
✔️ Take advantage of deductions and credits
✔️ Create strategies to legally lower your tax liability
✔️ Feel more confident and prepared year-round

Taxes shouldn’t be a guessing game. With proper planning, there are ways to reduce surprises and make smarter financial decisions before the year ends.

📞 If you’re ready to be proactive instead of reactive, let’s talk tax planning!
