The IRS announced today that E-filing will reopen on the 24th. (crossing fingers) If you weren't aware the 2020 tax filing season was extended (once again) through February 15th so that anyone still needing to submit 2020 tax returns can wait until e-filing reopens.

Advanced Child tax Credits are starting to be issued. Be careful, this is not another stimulus check, this is an advance refund on your 2021 tax return. The payments received now will reduce your refunds for next year. If you are worried about owing tax next year, you can opt out of the advance payments through the IRS website
