Summer is right around the corner, and this year it’s bringing one of the world’s biggest soccer tournaments with it.

The world's largest international soccer tournament begins on June 11th and will run through July 19th. Here
are a few quick facts about what makes this year’s competition so special.

⚽ The tournament is co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico across 16 cities. It is the first time in history that three nations have shared hosting duties for this competition.

⚽ With 48 teams and 104 matches, this is the largest edition of the tournament ever held. Eleven cities across the United States are hosting matches, spanning the entire country from coast to coast.

⚽ As one of the host nations, the men’s United States team will be competing on home soil for the first time in this competition in over three decades. This is a moment worth celebrating with soccer fans across the country.

So whether soccer is your favorite sport or you just enjoy a good reason to gather with people you love, we hope you find some time to soak up this historic moment.

As always, if there's anything our team can help you with in between watching matches, don't hesitate to reach out.

Even though 2027’s filing season feels far away, now is still a good time to check in on your taxes. While this might feel early, a simple mid-year tax checkup can help ensure you don’t miss any key credits or deductions and turn the rest of the year into proactive planning rather than last-minute scrambling.

Swipe through to see how a mid-year review can support your goals, from potential tax savings to better organization for next spring.

If you’ve had changes in income, a new side project, a major expense, or you just want peace of mind, we’d be glad to walk through a mid-year tax checkup with you. We can look at where you stand, talk through any adjustments that might make sense, and help you move into year-end with a clear, confident plan.

At first glance, DIY bookkeeping can seem like the most cost-effective route, and many people believe that handling bookkeeping tasks yourself is the most cost-effective way to manage your back office.

However, the real cost of DIY bookkeeping isn’t just reflected in your monetary savings. It is also the cost of your time, the risk of mistakes, and the cost of fixing problems later. Sometimes, the most affordable option is not doing everything yourself. Instead, it’s about having the right level of support.

We can help manage your back office, minimize mistakes, and fix problems before they become compliance headaches. Reach out today, and we can connect on how we can best support your business.

Even if you think your taxes are carefully completed, your business can get hit with unexpected tax bills, denied deductions, and IRS penalties. Tossing tax documents too soon makes it harder to challenge these risks.

Without records to substantiate your claimed income, expenses, or credits, you risk losing those deductions and credits during an audit, which can lead to owing back taxes plus interest and penalties.

Our team can help you get organized, set up a recordkeeping system, and stay ready for tax season and beyond. Let’s talk before you start cleaning out your files. Schedule an appointment today at https://symsolutionscpa.com/contact

This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, we are highlighting an important distinction: the difference between mental health and mental health conditions.

Many people think these terms mean the same thing, but they don't. Understanding the distinction can help us take better care of ourselves and support others more effectively.

Here is the difference:

💚Mental health is universal - Everyone has mental health. It includes your emotional, psychological, and social well-being and affects how you think, feel, and act in daily life.

💚Mental health conditions are specific - These are diagnosable disorders like depression, anxiety, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). More than 50% of people will receive a mental health diagnosis at some point.

💚Good mental health and mental illness can coexist - Many people living with mental health conditions have periods of strong mental well-being through treatment, support, and self-care.

💚Poor mental health does not always mean mental illness - You can experience poor mental health due to stress, burnout, grief, or life transitions without having a diagnosable condition.

💚Simple ways to care for your mental health - Find coping skills that work for you. These could include journaling, deep breathing, moving your body, or spending time with loved ones.

💚Professional support is available - Therapy can benefit anyone, not just those with diagnosed conditions.

If you need support, please reach out to a health care professional. Help is available, and you're not alone.

Are you aware of the 2026 contribution limits for tax-advantaged retirement accounts? If not, we’ve got you covered, with a quick look at what’s changing:

✅ 401(k), 403(b), 457, and TSP limits will increase to $24,500 (up from $23,500).
✅ Workers age 50+ can contribute an additional $8,000 (up to $32,500 total).
✅ IRA contribution limits will rise to $7,500, with a $1,100 catch-up option.
✅ “Super catch-up” contributions for ages 60-63 remain at $11,250.

Now is a good time to evaluate your current savings plan, explore your IRA options, and decide whether catch-up contributions make sense for your 2026 goals.

If you’re self-employed, it may also be worthwhile to review whether your SEP IRA or solo 401(k) plan needs an update.

Need help navigating these changes? Contact us to discuss how you can maximize these increased limits for your retirement strategy.

As the days get longer throughout May, people can experience both earlier sunrises and later sunsets. However, not every night owl relishes an earlier sunrise, and not every early bird loves a later night.

Which one best describes you this month? Are you enjoying earlier sunrises or celebrating later nights?

☀️ Vote enjoying earlier mornings
🌙 Vote celebrating later nights

Share your pick in the comments. We are curious to see which side takes the win as we head closer to summer.
