Yesterday they announced that stimulus checks will be starting to be direct deposited next week. It has been suggested that filing your taxes ( even if you are lower income and don't usually file) will help you to receive your stimulus payment faster by giving them direct deposit information on your return.

"The best way to make sure your money arrives soon is to file your 2019 tax return as quickly as possible. This is especially true for people who lost a job in the last year as this could put you in a position to qualify to receive more money."

"While most Americans are required to file a tax return, certain low-wage workers and people with no income will need to fill out a 1040-EZ form. While you’re not legally required to do so, the short form could help you get your stimulus check from the government."

To add to the confusion, the date has now changed to July 15th as far as when both your taxes are due by, as well as when your payments would be due if you owe in.

To clear up confusion, the delays we've been hearing about on taxes are for those of us who will be paying in on taxes. You will be given an extra 90 days free from interest and penalties to pay what you owe. This doesn't mean you have until that time to file though, as of right now the time to file by is still April 15th.

We have appointments as soon as the end of this week and even a couple left for Saturday if you act fast.
