There are a lot of little decisions you can make every day that can help set you up for future success. Here are a few steps you can take now to improve your financial situation by the end of 2025:

1. Create a safety net for hard times.
Be prepared for the unexpected by putting aside enough money to cover 3 to 6 months' worth of essential expenses.

2. Have a debt-paying strategy.
If you have multiple credit cards or loans, consider aggressively paying down one of them while making the minimum required payment on the rest. Start with whatever card has the highest interest rate.

3. Review your investment mix.
The market is always moving, and sometimes it falls out of alignment with your investing goals. Periodically check in with your portfolio to rebalance your mix of investments to match your time frame, financial needs, and risk tolerance.
