Cindy Selfridge is a comprehensive financial planner and the owner of Selfridge Financial Design. She has been in the financial industry since 2000. She knew she wanted to help others make financially responsible decisions when she started taking finance classes in college. Nothing like this had ever been taught to her, and she enjoyed it, it came easy to her, and it is something vital to everyone
’s lives. Her clients range from the smallest owner-operated business to local hospitals. She has been a business owner herself for over 30 years and thoroughly enjoys working with other business owners bringing her knowledge, recommendations and strategies to help them stay competitive in the market. Her life experience and extensive training helps clients to realize the benefits and value of comprehensive financial planning in every aspect of both their business and personal lives. Cindy works with her clients to develop clear and objective financial goals, navigate personal financial issues and cope with an investment climate that is always in flux. She provides advice in the areas of investment planning, retirement planning, insurance protection, estate planning, business succession planning and education funding. Cindy believes her most important role is to be an objective advocate for her clients; her goal is to control costs, be tax efficient and manage risk. This provides the most effective way of helping her clients work toward their goals. Earlier in her career, Cindy was a co-owner of Tech-Time Communications in Bakersfield for 20 years. She also spent many years at Lincoln Financial Advisors as a financial planner in the employer-sponsored market. She has a Bachelor of Science in Finance, magna cm laude, from California State University, Bakersfield. She holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation. She has shared her knowledge and spoken to the public on retirement. Cindy is originally from Southern California and has lived in Bakersfield for more than 40 years. She has three grown children and enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren on the Central Coast. She also loves going to the theater, and taking her dogs, Lexi and Sarah, for long walks. She attends Laurelglen Bible Church.
