The Jonas Project will seek to provide Veterans with the support needed to make the dream of owning their own business come true. The idea is to grow new business opportunities from within the ranks of the multi-talented Veterans themselves.
Using community stakeholders and partners, Veterans will receive mentoring, guidance and business services that can ensure success in the civilian business world. The Jonas Project will surround the Veteran Owned Business (VOB) with experts, preferably experts who are successful Veterans themselves.
Veterans will also be eligible for start up funds from TJP, which will only be required to be paid back (at no interest) after the business becomes financially successful. Those returned start up funds will help to ensure that future VOBs will have access to funding.

VETERAN REQUIREMENTS:
•Must be a U.S. Military Veteran
•Honorable discharge verification
•Verify knowledge in your desired field of business and/or have transferable skills. (Matrix with a minimum score of 18)
•Must have a complete and detailed business plan – TJP may assist with the development of a Business Plan if necessary and appropriate
•Must pass an extensive Volunteer Task Force (VTF) interview
•Must agree to adhere to extensive mentoring and guidance
•Must repay start-up funding (at no interest) once the business becomes financially successful
•Must be willing to dedicate the necessary time to the business in order to ensure success
•Must demonstrate a passion and willful desire to make your business idea a success
•The business idea must be a benefit to the region in which it will exist
