Wesley Heinrichs, CFP, CEP Our mission is to empower clients with the knowledge and tools to make informed financial decisions. Financial planning goes beyond numbers and statements.

We build lasting relationships based on trust, integrity, and exceptional service. It involves understanding what truly matters to you and helping you make decisions that align with your goals, values, and life story. This is why I like to describe myself as a financial counselor. I care as much about what’s happening outside your bank account as I do with what’s inside it. Building trust and crea

ting a meaningful connection is the foundation of how we’ll work together. After years in larger firms, I realized I wanted something different - a space where I could focus entirely on fostering relationships and providing personal, values-driven support that can transform someone’s financial life. That’s why my partner and I launched Axio Wealth Strategies. We’re based in Georgia, where most of our clients reside, but we work with people all over the country, both in person and virtually. Our approach is flexible because I want to meet you where you are—literally and figuratively. Personally, I’ve learned that happiness isn’t about making millions but about being smart with what you have and finding balance in life. Outside of work, I prioritize my health and fitness and bring that same energy to my professional relationships. At the end of the day, I’m here to help you not only manage your money but feel proud and in control of the years to come. I specialize in Comprehensive Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, Tax Planning, Investment Management, and Estate Planning. I would love to find out what is important to you. WE DID IT!

On June 6th of this year, Jeremy Presley and I took a huge leap and officially launched Axio Wealth Strategies . From our college days as friends, we’ve always dreamed of having our own firm.

Over the years, we’ve consistently worked toward that shared vision. With both of us being in the industry since college, we knew we had the experience, knowledge, and client base to make it happen. And we feel truly BLESSED.

We are excited to offer outstanding services to our clients including retirement planning, tax mitigation, investment management, estate planning, and so much more.

Our branding is incredible. Our office is top-tier. Our team is outstanding. We couldn’t be happier with how everything has come together.

A huge thank you to our amazing team— Madison Stephens Billy Eldredge, and Brenna Peden . You are only as strong as your weakest link, and this team has put in countless hours to support us and our clients. We wouldn’t be here without you all!

We also owe so much to two important ladies.

First, Cece Page who runs The Cece Shop, for creating our branding, marketing materials, client gifts, and more. Your work is the foundation of our business, and we couldn’t have done this without you.

Check out her original sketches and design here. ELITE.

Second, Emily Borges from Borges Studios, who absolutely nailed our office design. It’s rare in this industry to have our own space at this stage in our careers, and what Emily did for us was nothing short of spectacular.

Be sure to check out our website at www.axiows.com – Thanks to Bella Jones , Christian Kaman and their team with Tekimax for absolutely crushing it). I may be biased, but this might just be the best website for financial advisors out there.

And, of course, big thanks to one of my favorite photographers, McKenzie McNeil Nugent ,for the stunning photos (but let’s be real—when doesn’t she do incredible work?).

This year has been an absolute grind—long hours, late nights—but every bit of it has been worth it. Jeremy, I love you, brother! I can’t wait to see where we are in a few years

Linea's latest blog post below from Justin Davidson, AWMA ® last week.

"Well, as luck would have it, immediately after my last blog on April 10th suggesting we were overdue for a 5% pullback, we happened to get one. To be clear, I’d rather be lucky than good and that was a lucky guess. As I suggested, this is very normal and not anything to try to plan around. We did see some improvement last week, but I think we’ll stay choppy here for a bit. Interest rates have shot-up in the market, so unless and until those rates can ease back down, expect volatility. The Fed rate decision will certainly be a closely watched event (hint: they are unlikely to raise or cut rates).

That brings me to the main point of the blog today. There is an old adage in the Investment world that says “sell in May and go away.” This isn’t hating on May. Its quite a nice month, BUT it does kick off the seasonally weaker 6 mo period of May-October. This is compared to the seasonally stronger November – April stretch. But, MOST of the weakness in the May-October is typically found in September and October. In fact, May has been higher in 9 of the last 10 years! Hard to suggest that May is the problem.

Check out the graph below!

As you can see, old adages/rules-of-thumb/wives tales are no way to invest. May could turn out to be a great month (and often is), but I think we’ll continue to churn here for a while below all-time highs as we try to figure out the next direction for interest rates.

In the meantime, enjoy the great weather. School is close to being done for the year and then Summer will be here before you know it. And, no – Don’t sell in May."

What is my favorite retirement income strategy?

Well, of course, the one that fits you the most.

But if I had to choose, it would be the bucket system.

This is a strategy in which retirees divide their nest egg into categories—or buckets—depending on when they’ll need the money.

The short-term bucket ensures retirees have enough cash to cover their expenses during a downturn. There’s no good time for a bear market, but there is a worse time. And that’s just as you’re entering retirement (sequence of return risk. ever heard of it?). So, having 2 years of income in savings allows you the comfort of not having to sell stocks at a loss

Middle Buckets—These buckets are designed to cover expenses in the intermediate term. They give us a 3-10 year window to invest. The market is up over 90% of the time in rolling 3-year periods, which gives us a good chance of success in protecting our income and making some money, especially since the majority will be invested for longer than 3 years.

The Long-Term Bucket—One of the biggest misconceptions people have about getting close to retirement is that they should be more conservative once they get older. Technically, the answer is yes, but the answer is also no. Some, if not a majority, of this money needs to get you TO and THROUGH your 70s, 80s, and potentially 90s.

Think about it. If you are 65 and need money until you are 85, you NEED growth in your portfolio over time, especially to keep up with inflation.

There are many other retirement income methods, but this one is good.

Let's look at history..

The S&P 500 Index ended with a 4% gain for February, making it the 4th consecutive monthly gain.

So, from a historical perspective, what does this mean for the market when the S&P finishes the year with back-to-back monthly gains followed by back-to-back gains to start the following year?

It's generally VERY positive. In the 11 prior instances, since 1957, when the S&P was up in November, December, January, and February, the index was higher from its February close through the end of the year EVERY SINGLE TIME, with a median gain of 12%

Another fun stat. The S&P is up 20% in the last 4 months.. and some can say that is too much gain too quickly, BUT..

the last 8 times the index has made 20% gains in any 4-month period, it was higher 100% of the time, 6, 9, and 12 months later with an average gain of 18%..

Just starting off investing?

Wondering where to start?

It could be overwhelming. There’s plenty of TikTok videos, articles, and content out there to listen to.

You can even listen to Dave Ramsey‘s approach (which I enjoy)

If you talk to 20 different people, you’re going to get 20 different answers, but this is where I start with folks.

And to me, there’s no right or wrong way of doing this. There’s only trade-offs!!

Have you ever wondered how financial advisors make money?

Well, there are two ways to engage with us.

The first question to answer is, would you like our team to manage your assets?

If the answer is "yes,"

1. We charge an asset-based fee (fiduciary model) on what we manage. Ranging from .50% to 1.35% annually.
- this is all-inclusive! no-wrap, program, or trading fees
- the only internal expenses (expense ratios from owning ETFs/mutual funds currently range from 0.03% to 0.30%.

This option includes all meetings, communication, and financial planning items like tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, etc.

If the answer is "no,"

We charge a financial planning fee in one of the two following ways.

1. One-time project-based work can range from $500 to $5500.
2. Subscription services
-$300-$1500 quarterly.

Of course, exceptions due to the complexity or size of the relationship may apply.

I’ve been a Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pro for many years.

I’ve helped so many people along the way and continue to make helping people a priority.

Dave has a lot of great content out there. Although I don’t agree with everything, such as not using a credit card (I like my points 😊), I generally enjoy what he has to say.

He says his SmartVestor Pros have a “heart of a teacher” and I couldn’t agree more.

I try to embrace that everyday and teach in anyway I can. Education is key! 🔑

We all know the stock market goes up over time, just not all the time. So what can a typical year bring us?

Below is a chart that shows how much volatility there can be in the market in any given year. 3, 5, 10, 15 and 20% declines.

The biggest observation in my opinion is that we average one 10% decline in the market PER year!! If that happens in 2024, take advantage of it.
