Women face unique challenges accumulating wealth sufficient for supporting themselves through retirement.
According to a study published by LT Trust in June 2021, the retirement savings gender gap continues to increase, with the latest data showing the average woman’s retirement savings have gone from $0.70 for every dollar saved by men to $0.68.
Black women fare worse, according to a September 17, 2020 report from AARP.
When sustained over the course of a career, the gender pay gap is the most significant contributor to this persistent and widening gap. Now, more than ever, women must value their unique combination of skills and talents, know their worth, and be deliberate in navigating and negotiating opportunities.
Experts on the topic with experience with global brands such as Zoom, Netflix, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Google and ESPN will share their insight on what women can do to help maximize their earning potential and opportunities in our global job market. We’ll also hear from the US Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau about the latest trends impacting women preparing for retirement and what women can do to overcome these challenges.
