Attend for Doctors

Attend for Doctors A comprehensive financial solution for physicians, by physicians.

At Attend Wealth, we exist to give you personalized, trusted financial guidance designed specifically for the life you lead, and the future you deserve. We help physicians reclaim their financial confidence โ€” so the people who care for others can finally feel taken care of too. We believe a great financial relationship begins with trust and a deep understanding of the sacrifices physicians make to

care for others. We work hard every day because physicians trust us to help with their money, and we know they spend their lives helping everyone else. At Attend Wealth, the most fulfilling moment for us is when a client finally exhales, realizing someone understands them, their goals, and what theyโ€™re trying to build.

This Fatherโ€™s Day, weโ€™re celebrating fathers like our founder, Tony Colungaโ€”and the countless father figures who simply show up, fully, for the people who count on them.

Present fatherhood isnโ€™t about grand gestures. Itโ€™s the late nights, the school pickups, the choosing-to-be-there again and again. Itโ€™s why Tony is a proud ambassador of CoolxDad, a nonprofit championing this movement of dads who lead with intention, presence, and love.

Itโ€™s also the same spirit behind the work we do at Attend Wealth. Because financial planning was never really about the moneyโ€”itโ€™s about giving fathers the freedom to be present for what matters most.

To every dad balancing the work, the late nights, and the moments that canโ€™t be replaced: we see you. ๐Ÿ’™

Happy Fatherโ€™s Day from all of us at Attend Wealth.

At our recent ECU Client Appreciation Event, we had the opportunity to hear directly from the physicians and families we serve.

We asked them to share their experiences with Attend Wealth, what our partnership means to them, and how financial planning has impacted their lives.

Their stories, insights, and trust are the reason we built this firm.

Thank you to every client who joined us, shared their journey, and allowed us to be part of theirs.

If youโ€™re an attending physician ready to build a financial strategy that supports your career, family, and future, weโ€™re here to help.

The 2026 401(k) contribution limit is $24,500. For physicians earning $300,000 or more, that's less than 8 percent of gross income. Itโ€™s a solid starting point, but not a complete picture on its own.

Maxed out your 401(k)? Consider also building:
โœ”๏ธ Backdoor Roth IRA: tax-free growth and tax-free withdrawals in retirement
โœ”๏ธ Taxable brokerage account: no contribution limits, no restrictions on withdrawals
โœ”๏ธ Health Savings Account: triple tax advantage when invested for the long term
โœ”๏ธ Deferred compensation plan: Allows high earners to defer income and reduce current tax exposure

The 401(k) is the foundation; these are what you build on top of it.

Financial stress doesn't stay in the spreadsheet.

Financial pressure is one of the leading contributing factors to burnout, anxiety, and career dissatisfaction in medicine. For physicians carrying significant student debt alongside the demands of a high-stakes career, that pressure is compounded.

Addressing that stress changes what you carry. A physician with a clear financial picture, a plan that accounts for their actual life, and income protection in place has one less thing to juggle when life gets busy.

That matters more than you might think.

For first-generation physicians, the attending salary arrives with a unique set of pressures. Significant debt, financial decisions made without a personal reference point, and often the added weight of being the first high earner in a family that's counting on you.

That starting point deserves honest, specific guidance, not advice built around a life that looks nothing like yours.

If you're a first-generation physician figuring out where to start, we'd love to be in your corner: https://attendwealth.com/

The standard employer policy covers one to two times your annual salary. For a physician earning $300,000, that's $300,000 to $600,000 in coverage. That number sounds substantial until you measure it against what it would actually need to replace.

For a physician with a young family, $600,000 in coverage can disappear quickly. What remains isn't a safety net, but a bridge that doesn't quite reach.

โžก๏ธ An individually owned term life policy fills that gap. It travels with you regardless of where your career goes, locks in your rate while you're young and healthy, and gets sized around what your family would actually need.

If you'd like to review your current coverage and talk through what the right amount looks like for your situation, reach out: https://go.attendwealth.com/consult-7584
