Here are some tax-saving opportunities you might be overlooking:

1. Business travel can be deducted if it’s work-related. This includes flights, hotel stays, 50% of meal costs, conference fees, parking, and tolls.

2. Seasonal marketing efforts such as summer promotions, printed flyers, and participation in local events are all deductible.

3. Client meetups, even if held outdoors at a café or park, can count as a business expense as long as they’re properly documented.

4. Interns, temporary workers, and part-time summer help are deductible through payroll and related support costs.

5. Equipment rentals for events, pop-up shops, or trade shows like booths, tables, and signage also qualify as deductible expenses.

Taking a vacation that includes work? Only the business portion is deductible, so track it carefully.

Remember to save every receipt and log the business purpose clearly.

Ready to earn more and keep more of it at tax time? Let’s talk.

The perfect business doesn’t exist.

Not one without challenges.

Not one without slow seasons.

Not one without tweaks, mistakes, or lessons along the way.

The goal isn’t perfection, it’s progress.

World Humanitarian Day is an international day dedicated to recognizing humanitarian personnel and honoring those who have lost their lives working for humanitarian causes.

It’s a moment to pause and appreciate the people who show up, in crisis, in tough places, and for causes that matter.

There’s a big $$$ difference between a CEO focused on revenue and a CEO focused on profit.

A revenue-focused CEO:

“I made $15K this month!”
…but spent $12K to get there.

Always busy, constantly hustling, and still wondering why the bank account doesn’t match the effort.

A profit-focused CEO:

“I brought in $15K and kept $7,000.”

Tracks expenses, spends intentionally, and builds a business with real staying power.

Same revenue. Different mindset. Better outcome.

One looks impressive. The other builds wealth.

Ready to shift from revenue-driven to profit-focused? Let’s talk!

You sent the invoice. Followed up. And nothing.
No payment. No communication.

So how do you handle it in your bookkeeping software?

Here’s what to do:

1. Leave the invoice open. Don’t delete it.

2. Add internal notes. Record the follow-up dates, attempts to collect, and any relevant details. This helps if you ever need to reference it or prove your attempts.

3. Create a “Bad Debts” expense account if you don’t already have one.

4. Set up a non-inventory item called “Bad Debts” and link it to that account.

5. Create a credit memo using the “Bad Debts” item. Add your customer’s name, invoice amount, and any relevant info.

6. Confirm the credit memo offsets the invoice. QuickBooks will apply it automatically if there’s only one open invoice, but if there are multiple, you’ll need to manually apply it to the correct one.

This process keeps your income accurate, your records clean, and your peace of mind intact.

If you're a business owner, you've probably heard (or thought) things like:

The most powerful shift you can make as a business owner?

Start thinking in numbers, not just ideas.

Let’s say your business brings in $8,000 this month.

You pay your office expenses, subscriptions, set aside money for taxes, and cover your team.

After everything, you're left with $1,200.

If you didn’t check those numbers, you might think you can spend $2,000 on a new course or hire.

But that move could put your business in a cash crunch.

This is why clarity matters in your business.

It allows you to make smart, confident decisions without second-guessing.

And it keeps your growth sustainable by showing you exactly what your business can handle and when.

When you treat your numbers like the foundation of your business, not an afterthought, everything gets clearer.
