💔 A Personal Story I’ve Hesitated to Share…
On November 28th, 2024, I lost my mother — a brilliant educator, a community pillar, and the heart of our family. Many of you knew how close we were. She wasn’t just my mom — she was my friend, my advisor, my daily source of strength.
This past March 31st, we would’ve celebrated her birthday. That same day was Eid, a time meant for joy and togetherness.
Instead, I found myself grieving all over again — overwhelmed by memories, emotions, and the weight of everything we went through.
And as I reflected, what hurt even more was realizing how unprepared we were… despite everything I do for a living.
She had life insurance through her job, and even had small policies for her grandkids, siblings, and others she cared about — that’s just who she was. She thought of everyone.
But what she didn’t have was a full plan for herself.
No will.
No trust.
No health directives.
And when the time came, we had to figure it all out in real time — while grieving.
We paid $9,700 just to bring her body home from out of state.
I’ve worked in financial services for over 20 years. I’ve helped families prepare for the future. I had conversations with her — over and over. But like so many people, she thought there was more time.
I’m sharing this now because someone reading this will go through something similar one day — and if this story can make that experience even slightly easier for you or your loved ones, it’s worth sharing.
Please don’t wait.
Don’t assume your job’s policy is enough.
Don’t assume your family knows your wishes.
Don’t assume estate planning is only for the wealthy.
It’s for anyone who loves someone.
I’ve made it my mission to help at least 25 families this season get protected — starting with the basics:
✅ Life insurance (term, final expense, IUL)
✅ Free estate planning tools (wills, trusts, advance directives)
✅ No medical exams, 100% online, easy to start

Happy birthday, Mama. I’m still listening.
