🚨 New IRS Scams Are Circulating — Stay Alert
Scammers are getting more creative, and new schemes are popping up that look more convincing than ever. These scams often claim to be from the IRS and try to pressure you into giving personal information or making payments.
Here’s what the newest scams look like:
🔴 Fake IRS letters demanding immediate payment
🔴 Texts or emails claiming you qualify for a refund or credit
🔴 Phone calls threatening arrest, liens, or license suspension
🔴 Messages with links that look like IRS.gov but lead to fake sites
🔴 Scammers posing as IRS agents asking for bank info or ID photos
Important:
The IRS will never demand payment through gift cards, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, or wire transfers.
They also won’t threaten you, pressure you, or contact you through text or social media.
