Staying active is one of the most important investments we can make in our overall well-being.

Whether it's a morning walk, a round of golf, time in the garden, yoga, pickleball, or exploring a new hobby, staying physically and mentally engaged can support both health and happiness as we age.

Retirement isn't just about financial security. It's also about having the energy, purpose, and freedom to enjoy the activities and people that matter most.

What is your favorite way to stay active?

Big transitions have a funny way of quietly rewriting your financial priorities.

New tuition bills, a kid moving out, or a graduate moving back in can all shift the numbers, and sometimes your strategy needs to catch up.

A short conversation now can save a lot of guesswork later.

If you live to 95, will your money?

One of the biggest challenges in retirement is finding the right balance.

If you're too aggressive, will you come up short? Too conservative, and you leave quality of life on the table.

Also, will the life you are living at 70 change as you age?

Have a child or grandchild heading to college this fall? If so, now is the time to make sure their FAFSA form is in.

A few things worth knowing:
⏰ The federal deadline is June 30. State and school deadlines are often earlier.
⏰ Many types of aid are first-come, first-served. Waiting could cost money.
⏰ You can make corrections after submission, but the form needs to be in first.

A quick check today could help avoid missing opportunities later.

Planning a summer getaway? You may notice travel costs are higher this year.

Average domestic airfare is about $383, up $89 from last year, while gas prices have risen $1.42 per gallon from a year earlier.

Even with higher costs, many Americans are still making travel plans. Some are choosing destinations closer to home, shorter trips, or adjusting their budgets to help manage expenses.

One thing many people don't expect about retirement is just how much free time suddenly appears on the calendar!

After years of work schedules, meetings, and routines, having every day wide open can feel exciting, but it can also take some getting used to.

Many retirees find it helpful to create a little structure in their week, such as:
✔️ A regular volunteer opportunity
✔️ Lunch or coffee with friends
✔️ A weekly class or group activity
✔️ Time set aside for exercise, hobbies, or personal interests

The goal isn't to stay busy for the sake of being busy. It's about creating a routine that gives you something to look forward to and helps you stay connected to the people and activities you enjoy.

What has helped you create purpose and routine in retirement?

There's a moment early in retirement that catches many people off guard.

You wake up… and there's nowhere you need to be.

At first, that quiet feels wonderful. After years of deadlines and responsibility, it's a relief.

And then the question comes:

Now what?

If that feels familiar, you're not alone. Retirement isn't just a schedule change. For many people, it's an identity shift.

The first year isn't about having everything figured out. It's about finding your rhythm.
