God bless all teachers! A poem I wrote many years ago:
❤️ For Our Teachers
For the times we were your angels and you gave us our treats,
For the times we were your monsters and you gave us our seats.
For all the times we were sent to the principal,
For all the times we thought you weren’t sensible.
For all the words of encouragement that showed you cared,
For all the trouble we caused when you weren’t there.
For always believing in us and showing us how,
For always holding back when you wanted to have a cow.
For all the hopes and dreams you were able to instill,
For all our words and deeds that made you want to kill.
For teaching us those things we needed to know,
And, especially, for not selling us to that carnival show.
For the great teachers who really know their stuff,
For never ever giving up when the going got tough.
For giving us the lock and also the key,
Forever in our hearts you always will be.
