As many of you may already know on November 25th Jackie lost her 3 year long battle to cancer. Her dream with Alpha Omega Tax Service was always to have the business remain family owned and operated. However, her unexpected passing, stopped the training process before it ever began.
That being said, our family thought it would be in the best interest of all of the Alpha Omega clients to look for someone who could prepare your taxes moving forward. Knowing that Jackie formed a bond with many of you over the years it was very personal and important for us to find someone who shares many of the same values as did Jackie.
Over the years of developing and growing her business there were several professional relationships formed. There was one professional relationship that was greater than all of the rest and was the first person that came to mind when deciding to move forward. We have made the decision to entrust all of you with A.C. Stickel at The Tax Shelter.
In our agreement A.C. has guaranteed that all Alpha Omega clients will not pay more than you did last year.
Our family is encouraging you to put your trust with The Tax Shelter.

With a heavy heart I need to post that Jackie unexpectedly passed away 11/25/2020.
At this time I will not be able to open the office for the upcoming tax season.
With that being said I know she has clients returns from last season that have not been filed.
Jane will be at the office Monday 12/7/20 from 1:00 - 2:30 for anyone that needs their paperwork. Jane is not able to do any returns or call the IRS for you.
I will be at the office Monday from 2:30 - 4:00. I am also not able to do any returns, call the IRS or give any tax advice.
If you have a tax return that has not been filed due to non payment or needing more information please make arrangements to come and pick up you W2’s.
Thank you to all the clients for your years of business.
We will all miss Jackie tremendously!

The IRS is launching a website to check the status of your stimulus payment

Knowing how the gears of government grind, the stimulus checks Congress has pledged to Americans can seem like a nebulous promise that may never actually materialize.
But lo! The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is not accepting that bureaucratic fate for our future money.
On Friday, the IRS announced that it would launch a website on April 17 that would allow people to check the status of their payment, including the date it's scheduled to arrive, and the bank account or address where it's headed.
It's called the Get My Payment portal (good name, guys) and will also allow people to provide bank account information if the IRS doesn't already have it.
The IRS also announced the launch of a new website that will allow people who don't have to pay taxes (such as people with lower incomes, veteran beneficiaries, and others) to send the IRS info about where to mail or deposit their stimulus checks. This news comes as a relief to people who have been wondering whether the promise of a stimulus check applies to them.
The relief checks, officially called Economic Impact Payments, are scheduled to begin going out next week. You can read more about eligibility here.

If you are not required to file a tax return and receive social security your stimulus check will be added with your monthly social security check.
I do not have any dates as to when the deposits will start!
