Big changes are coming to our company! As many of you know, Linda recently obtained her licensing as a Certified Public Accountant. But she's no newbie to the industry! She has worked in accounting for over 20 years in both her father's accounting firm in Chattanooga TN as well as her mother's bookkeeping practice in Atlanta GA. Now that her parents are both ready to step down to a supporting role in both companies, Linda will be merging the two offices under her name! This will enable our two offices to serve our clients better! We currently serve clients in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and California. Services we currently offer include bookkeeping, payroll, tax preparations (including personal, corporate, sales and payroll taxes), compilations, reviews and audits. We offer free consultations so give us a call to see what we can do for you!

PSA: in case you are unsure, the IRS will not call you. Ever.

Also, Our clients always have the benefit of our staff as mediator between you and the IRS. If you happen to receive a letter (they do not communicate by phone, email or fax, ever) from the IRS, bring it to us for an assessment of what, if any, action needs to be taken.

The IRS reminds taxpayers that a new law requires the IRS to hold refunds claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) until Feb. 15. In addition, the IRS wants taxpayers to be aware it will take several days for these refunds to be released and processed through financial institutions. Factoring in weekends and the President’s Day holiday, the IRS cautions that many affected taxpayers may not have actual access to their refunds until the week of Feb. 27.

“For this tax season, it’s more important than ever for taxpayers to plan ahead,” IRS Commissioner John Koskinen said. “People should make sure they have their year-end tax statements in hand, and we encourage people to file as they normally would, including those claiming the credits affected by the refund delay. Even with these significant changes, IRS employees and the entire tax community will be working hard to make this a smooth filing season for taxpayers.”
