Last week marked our final full push of tax season at FACTS-5 — long days, busy phones, and a whole lot of last-minute filings.

𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻. ❤️
A therapy dog with perfect timing — along with his owner, Teilla Broussard — and just like that, the stress paused and the smiles showed up.

Moments like this remind us… it’s not just about taxes. It’s about people.

Mileage rates matter, so make sure you’re using the right year’s rate when tracking your miles!

📌 2025 Mileage Rates
(For returns being filed this tax season)

• 🚙 Business: 70.0¢ per mile
• 🏥 Medical: 21.0¢ per mile
• 🧳 Moving (qualified military only): 21.0¢ per mile
• ❤️ Charitable: 14.0¢ per mile

📌 2026 Mileage Rates
(For miles driven starting January 1, 2026)

• 🚙 Business: 72.5¢ per mile ⬆️
• 🏥 Medical: 20.5¢ per mile ⬇️
• 🧳 Moving (qualified military & certain intelligence members): 20.5¢ per mile ⬇️
• ❤️ Charitable: 14.0¢ per mile (no change)

✅ Applies to gas, diesel, hybrid & electric vehicles
✅ Standard mileage is optional — actual expenses may be used instead
⚠️ Unreimbursed employee mileage is generally not deductible, with limited exceptions
