We recently co‑hosted a tax and legal compliance seminar with Shearn Delamore & Co.’s Johor Bahru Office.

Our Senior Tax Manager, Saw Teck Yong, shared key takeaways on the implications of Malaysia’s Budget 2026, highlighting what businesses should start preparing for from a tax and compliance perspective.

We also enjoyed an insightful fireside chat with Samantha Tai, CEO of BoardRoom Malaysia, and Irene Yong, Partner at Shearn Delamore & Co., exploring opportunities arising from Family Office incentives in the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS‑SEZ), and what these developments could mean for long‑term structuring and governance.

Adding to the discussion, lawyers from Shearn Delamore & Co. shared practical updates on JS‑SEZ, SST, PDPA, RPGT, and Stamp Duty, grounding the session with real‑world legal and regulatory insights.

🚀 Kicking off 2026 with energy, teamwork and lots of fun!

Our Share Registry teams from Singapore and Malaysia started the year on a high note with an exciting inter country team building adventure in Melaka!

Joined by colleagues from Marketing, Business Development, Finance, Technology Support, Risk and Talent Management, the teams took on the Jonker Race - storming through the vibrant Jonker Street, cracking riddles, racing against time, and gathering essential kits to complete their mission.

The mission? To build iconic Singapore and Malaysia landmarks using limited resources, fueled by creativity, collaboration and plenty of friendly competition!

Beyond the race and challenges, we exchanged ideas and banter, shared laughter and celebrated our January birthday stars, making the experience even more memorable.

These inter country get togethers remind us how powerful it is to connect beyond emails and screens, strengthening bonds and building friendships across borders.
