Here are 3 things I constantly practice to help me reach my goals, and it will work for you too!
1. Admit your mistakes.
The ultimate goal killer is not accepting that we made a mistake, yet the only way to prevent it from happening again, is to admit it.
Humans are hardwired to avoid showing vulnerability, and admitting to a mistake is exactly that. It took me 2 years to realise is that in today's society, someone who admits mistakes are highly respected for their honesty and confidence to do so, and this actually helped me find who I am as a person today.
I made mistakes in the past, and I've grown from there since then.
2. Learn
Learning is not just collecting information/experience then applying and wishing for it to work for you. Every individual is unique, and everyone's success story is different.
I remember when I was in primary school, I would always follow behind the best basketball player, stepping on the same exact tile he walked on, hoping that one day I would be as talented as him. Follow their footsteps right?
It is only when I committed to my career where I realised that all the experiences that have been shared to me, was no longer relevant.
Experiences are events that happened in the past, and there is no guarantee that the same process will generate the same results. The art of learning is where we listen and registering the good, the bad and the ugly, then adapt it to the life we live in.
Only after successful adaptation, is learning considered learning.
3. Take Action!
I cannot stress this enough. Many success stories that I've heard started with impulse. Impulsiveness is when you shift your focus from the consequences, into actually moving towards your goals.
Have a good idea? Actualize it. Want to reach out to someone but afraid to do so? Pick up the phone. Successful people never say later, they only know now.
These are the 3 things I live by, impacting lives day by day whilst achieving my goals, and I hope these tips would help you too!
