At age 34, after 12 years in the Retail Management and Finance industry, I started thinking about the type of job I wanted to do progressing forward in life. As a people person, I wanted a fulfilling career where I would be able to use my efforts and time to impact others' lives positively.

After one year of planning and soul-searching, I made the leap and joined the insurance industry in 2015.

Beginnings and mid-career change are never easy.

I was prepared to learn wholeheartedly to integrate myself into the insurance industry. I was blessed to have supportive families, bosses and colleagues who have helped me move through the steep learning curve.

Being a firm believer in constant learning, I attained various specialised certifications to add value to my clients, including AEPP, AFP, Cert. ASFB, Cert. REAP.

In recent years, I am also actively advocating the importance of guardianship appointment for the family with young children through Will & Trust Planning and the making of Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), especially for the elderly generation.

Also, I have adopted a goals-centric financial planning methodology known as GoalsMapper. I have received numerous positive testimonials on how this planning approach has helped my clients achieved their various financial goals.

To date, I have provided holistic financial advice to more than 200 families, which include Will and Trust planning and assisted more than 40 clients in filing insurance claims of close to $1 Million total payouts.

The greatest job satisfaction is a simple "Thank You" from my clients when their claims were approved so that they could focus on recovery without worrying about their financial commitments.
