In the heart of the city during Covid, Ting founded a professional services practice called Spoon Elves, inspired by the humble spoon — an essential yet often overlooked tool in our daily lives. The name represented her team of dedicated professionals, working diligently behind the scenes to scoop up crucial details for their clients’ financial success.
One day, Ting was thinking about how she can simultaneously use her skills to benefit others and also achieve fulfillment from inside, instead of being an unfulfilled deskbound employee everyday. The answer came when Ting got approached by Dylan, a struggling local business owner overwhelmed by his finances. Ting immersed herself in the challenge and worked on streamlining the finance processes, sorting out reporting deadlines and preparing the necessary information needed for his business to be compliant with authorities. Over time, Dylan was then able to shift his focus to growing his business with a peace of mind, knowing that the finances are well taken care of. He was even able to understand the financial health of his business better through his eventual partnership with the then newly founded Spoon Elves.
