Over the weekend in Malaysia, the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) was updated to be implemented in all but three states in the Peninsular and for a 4-week period until 6 December.
In an earlier March survey conducted by an online home services platform, Recommend.my, it was found that 68.9% of local small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have suffered more than 50% drop in business within one week of the movement control order (MCO). With the new CMCO guidelines unfolding, more significant income losses and operational struggles for businesses are expected.
The ’new normal” calls for an absolute necessity to migrate to cloud-based solutions for business continuity and operational efficiency.
