The Department of Education (DepEd) conducted an onsite monitoring visit to Don Bosco Technical Institute of Victorias, Inc. on June 17, 2026, to assess the school's readiness for the opening of classes for School Year 2026โ€“2027.

The monitoring team was composed of Dr. Ronamie V. Reliquias, Chief of the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD), together with Mr. Giovanni Wray A. Estraรฑo and Ms. Jessa Mae Janoy.

During the visit, the DepEd Team toured the campus and evaluated the school's compliance with government requirements. They inspected classrooms and facilities, conducted enrollment and learner headcount, and assessed whether the School's learning environment is safe, conducive, and ready to support quality education. The Team also reviewed school manuals, policies, and other key documents essential to effective school operations.

The DepEd Team was assisted by DBTI Team headed by its School Principal, Fr. Rhine B. Bollozos, SDB along with Mrs. Maria Cherry B. Butanas (School Registrar), Mrs. Edmalyn B. Alcuizar (Assistant Principal โ€“ JHS), Miss Charmae J. Cavile (Assistant Principal โ€“ SHS), and Mrs. Mary Jane S. Perez (Assistant Principal โ€“ Elem).

At the conclusion of the monitoring activity, the DepEd Team expressed their appreciation for the School's level of preparedness. They noted that DBTI is well-equipped for the opening of classes and highlighted its facilities and best practices as worthy of benchmarking by other educational institutions.

This positive assessment reflects the commitment of the entire DBTI Community to providing a safe, organized, and quality learning environment for all Bosconians.

Enthusiasm, Determination and Football excellence were on full display at the Victorias City Football Pitch on June 14, 2026 โ€” as the DBTI Greywolves commendably represented the Victorias City LGU in the 1st Abanse Negrense Environmental Football Cup and delivered outstanding results on home ground.

The Greywolvesโ€™ Born 2011 team stood out as Champions, demonstrating outstanding discipline, unity, and perseverance throughout the tournament.

Adding to the Triumph, The Born 2009 Team B also claimed the Championship Trophy, highlighting the capability and depth of the DBTI Football program through a remarkable performance and unwavering grit on the field.

Meanwhile, the Born 2009 Team A battled with resillience and determination, securing a 2nd Runner-up finish after a-hard-fought campaign that showcased true Bostonian sportsmanship and resilience.

With two Championship title and one podium finish, the DBTI greywolves continues to embody the Bosconian spirit of excellence, unity and unwavering dedication in sports.

The Greywolvesโ€™ born in 2009 team delivered an outstanding performance against Cadiz, with a final score of 2-1 victory to advance to the finals. The team showcased strong commitment and resilience throughout the match, overcoming their opponents and keeping their victory hopes alive.

Meanwhile, the Born in 2011 team also earned a place in the championship match and now awaits their final showdown against FC Talisay.

The championship games are set for June 21, 2026, with the official match times yet to be announced. With both teams advancing to the finals, the DBTI Greywolves continue to dominate, showcase excellence, sportsmanship, and the true spirit of football as they prepare for their match.

The DBTI community witnessed the oath-taking of the Don Bosco Student Government (DBSG), Marshals, Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Salesian Youth Movement (SYM), and Ad Altiora. During the ceremony, the leaders pledged to serve with responsibility, integrity, and dedication as they take on their roles in guiding and representing the Bosconian community.

As St. John Bosco reminded us, โ€œDo ordinary things extraordinarily well,โ€ may these young leaders continue to serve faithfully in every task entrusted to them.
