Minsan sa tahimik na moment ng araw mo, mapapaisip ka na ang daming nangyayari sa mundo na hindi mo talaga hawak. May maririnig kang aksidente malapit sa inyo, may emergency sa kakilala mo, may biglaang tawag na nagbago ng buhay ng isang tao. At mapapahinto ka kasi nare-realize mo na pwede rin pala mangyari sa kahit sino, kahit saan, kahit anong oras.

Pero habang iniisip mo lahat ‘yon, may part din sa’yo na alam mong ginagawa mo naman best mo. Nag iingat ka sa biyahe, nag iingat ka sa sarili mo, nag e-effort ka maging healthy kahit minsan sablay pa rin. Kahit papaano, sinusubukan mo.

Kaya nga mahalaga yung mga choice na ginagawa mo ngayon. Yung simpleng desisyon na alagaan at protektahan ang sarili mo kahit hindi naman nakikita ng iba. Yung hindi mo hinihintay ma-late bago umaksyon. Yung hindi mo inaasa sa swerte ang future mo.

Kasi totoo, hindi mo man mapigilan ang mga pangyayari sa paligid mo, kaya mo namang i-prepare ang sarili mo para hindi ka basta bibigay kapag may dumating na pagsubok. Hindi mo kailangang maging perpekto para maging responsible. Kailangan mo lang piliin yung step na magsisecure sa’yo.

At one day, pag binalikan mo itong season ng buhay mo, masasabi mo na tama pala yung ginawa mo. Tama pala na nag ingat ka. Tama pala na nag invest ka sa protection. Tama pala na hindi mo hinayaang “bahala na” ang mag decide para sa future mo.

Kasi sa dulo, mas mahalaga yung peace na alam mong kahit anong mangyari, may support system ka. May safety net ka. At may ginawa kang wise choice para sa sarili mo at sa mga mahal mo.

Minsan ang tunay na maturity nagsisimula sa moment na pinili mong maging handa kahit wala pang nangyayari.
