Instead of handing his HK$42 billion fortune directly to his son, the late Hong Kong tycoon Hui Sai-fun placed it in a trust fund. His family only receives a fixed monthly allowance, a setup that would literally take around 1,750 years to spend at that rate.

Critics called it “stingy,” but in truth it was a clever long-term strategy. Hui worried about his son’s pl***oy lifestyle and lack of business focus, so he made sure his descendants could live comfortably without ever being able to burn through the entire fortune.

It is a reminder that true wealth planning is not about short-term indulgence, it is about protecting a legacy for generations to come.

𝟭. 𝗜𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼.
Trabaho, sideline, negosyo, lahat dapat accounted.

𝟮. 𝗚𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝟱 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝗮𝘆𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮:
🔹𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 – 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿
Dito papasok lahat ng kita mo. Gawin mo itong main account to receive your salary, side hustle earnings, or business income.

🔹 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 – 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀

🔹 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 – 𝗪𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗥𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀
Syempre, deserve mo rin mag-enjoy. Allocate a reasonable amount for your personal wants like shopping, coffee, travels, etc. Para hindi ka guilty while still being responsible.

🔹 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 – 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 / 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱
I recommend to use online banks like GoTyme, Maya, CIMB, or Unobank, so far ito palang yung subok ko and recommended na okay ang interest rate for savings (𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘨𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵.)

🔹 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁 – 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: Budgeting isn’t one-size-fits-all, you need to create a plan that works for you.
Invest at your own risk. Kung 'too good to be true,' talk to someone you trust or someone knowledgeable for guidance.

Minsan kahit anong effort mo, parang walang resulta.
Nakakapagod. Nakakawalang gana.

Pero tandaan: 𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙤, 𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙜 𝙨𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙝𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙨 𝙠𝙖 𝙣𝙖.

Gaya ni Matibay, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙣 𝙖 𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧.
Your time will come.
May kanya-kanya tayong panahon ng paglago at tagumpay.

“𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙄 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙛-𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚”

Story time.
Back in elementary, greatest fear ko talaga standing in front of a crowd. I remember meron church activity where the top students were asked to read the Bible aloud. The moment I stood in front of my schoolmates with their parents, my hands were sweaty, my stomach ached, and my voice became shaky. My stage fright completely consumed me.
What I did? I read as fast as I can, so that I can go back to my seat, when in fact, I should have read slowly with pause. Afterward, one mother compared me directly to a classmate and said: “𝘋𝘪𝘣𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘰 𝘬𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘺𝘴𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘰… 𝘣𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘵 𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘬𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘨-𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳, 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘬𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦?”

It hurts. But it also lit a fire in me. From then on, I promised myself: I will face this fear. I will prove that I can stand confidently in front of people.

One thing that helped me build this confidence, was creating an “alter ego”. I acted as the person I wanted to become, confident, composed, and secure, even if deep inside, I was nervous. Sabi nga fake it ‘till you make it.

Now, let me share something I’ve learned over the years:
👉 Confidence is not built on winning.
👉 Confidence is built in the fire, when challenges test you, you will do things you’ve never done before.
👉 Confidence is not the absence of fear, it’s choosing to move forward despite it.

And today, I’m here again, sharing my knowledge and expertise, now with this younger ones, where it brought me back to that the day that I once like them, nervous, unsure, and afraid.

Every experience, even the painful ones, prepares us for who we are meant to become. I chose not to let doubt control me.

𝟭. “𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲”
Akala ng iba puro “bawal yan, bawal to”. Pero the truth is, budgeting sets you free, kasi alam mo saan napupunta pera mo.
💡 Lesson: Budgeting is not a cage, it’s a roadmap to your goals.

𝟮. “𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲”
Ang totoo, the less you have, the more you need to budget. Kasi bawat piso, mahalaga.
💡 Lesson: You don’t need to be rich to budget, but you need to budget to stop living paycheck to paycheck.

𝟯. “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁”
💡 Lesson: Discipline matters more than math skills.

𝟰. “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘆 (𝗸𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗼𝘁) 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁”
Budgeting ≠ pagiging kuripot.
💡 Lesson: Budgeting lets you enjoy guilt-free spending.

𝟱. “𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴”
Sa simula medyo effort, pero once you build the habit, mabilis na lang.
💡 Lesson: 30 minutes of budgeting saves you from hours of money stress.

𝟲. “𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗼𝘆.”
Mali! Hindi mo kailangan i-give up ang milk tea, kape, or travel. Tamang balanse lang ang kailangan.
💡 Lesson: Budgeting teaches moderation, not deprivation.

Budgeting is not about restriction, it’s about direction. It helps you worry less and enjoy more.

💬Now my question to you, will you now give it a try?
