🗓️ Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 014-2026
Issued: March 4, 2026

The Bureau of Internal Revenue has clarified its new tax audit policies to make the process more consistent and transparent.

🔑 What this means for you:

Changing or substituting revenue officers does not create a new audit authority.

Safeguards under RMO No. 001-2026 and RMO No. 006-2026 are reinforced.

Administrative adjustments in audit assignments remain valid without needing new approval from the Commissioner.

📢 SEC Update: MC No. 4, Series of 2026

Big news for micro-enterprises! 🚀

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has raised the threshold for mandatory audited financial statements from ₱600,000 ➡️ ₱3,000,000 in total assets or liabilities.

✅ Who benefits?
Stock and non-stock corporations classified as micro-enterprises.

✅ What’s required instead?
Financial statements + a Statement of Management’s Responsibility (SMR), signed under oath by authorized officers.

📅 Effective Date:
For fiscal years ending on or after Dec. 31, 2025.

⚠️ Exclusions:
Public Interest Entities (PIEs) under Groups A, B, or C must still submit audited financial statements regardless of asset size.

📌 Issued January 20, 2026, this policy aims to reduce compliance costs for small businesses while ensuring accountability.
