Facts about claim process:

1. For claims within 2 years, 2year contestability period wil be applied by all insurance companies.

*To check if there was any concealment or misrepresentation when a person applied for a policy. *Process will take longer than policy claims beyond 2 years. Policies beyond 2 years will no longer undergo investigation. Just submit complete requirements and it will be processed immediately.

2. In any claim process, there are corresponding requirements. Hindi gagalaw ang claim process if hindi complete ang nasubmit na mga requirements. That is one of the common reasons for delay.

3. Turn around time based on 2020 claims report:

*Policies within 2 years, 25-45 days if complete requirements were submitted.

*Policies beyond 2 years, 2 weeks if complete requirements were submitted.

4. Claim processs stories are case-to-case basis. Social media rants should be carefully evaluated, facts of the case must be evaluated to avoid unnecessary panics.

Are you ready for your retirement?

Assuming you retire at 65 and live for 20 more years, how much do you need to survive? Let's say you will spend 100 pesos per meal. You will then spend 300 pesos a day. 300 x 365 days is 109,500, so for 20 years you will need 2,190,000 pesos for food alone. And that's assuming you spend 300/day, when we know it"ll be more than that given the price of food now and factor in inflation. How about electrical/phone/internet/water bills, maintenance meds, check ups and treatment, home improvement and maintenance, vacation, and other things you will need to pay for even when you are retired?
