Why we chose a 50KG sack of rice over a typical team building day. 🌾❤️

When looking for ways to show appreciation to our incredible team, we decided to skip the usual corporate games and listen to what really matters right now. With the rising cost of daily essentials and commodity prices, we wanted to provide meaningful, practical support that extends directly to our employees' households. 🐹

So, we surprised everyone with a massive 50KG sack of rice each! 🍚💪

In our iCHARGE core value, "CARE" isn't just a buzzword we put on a wall, it’s an action. Seeing the smiles, the laughter, and the relief on our team's faces as they loaded up these heavy sacks made it the best decision we could have made.

Care is easiest to talk about when things are going well. 🐹

But it matters most when it becomes practical.

With the rising cost of fuel and basic commodities, everyday essentials can place real pressure on people and families. For many, even something as simple as rice is part of daily life, daily meals, and daily security.

That is why iO’s rice subsidy initiative meant something.

It was a simple gesture, but a very real one.

Seeing team members claim their sacks of rice was a reminder that culture is not built only through meetings, messages, or values written on a wall. Some team members shared that their families were genuinely moved when they saw the sacks of rice. It was a simple reminder that practical support can reach further than the workplace.

And that is what made the moment matter.

It is built through actions that show people they are seen, supported, and cared for in practical ways.

This is one of the ways iO tries to live out care, not as a slogan, but as something people can feel.
