Nov 24, 2025: Tandaan niyo ang petsang ito.
Ito ang araw na biglang tumahimik ang telepono ng mga Accountant at Bookkeeper sa buong Pilipinas. Dahil sa RMC No. 107-2025, "Grounded" ang field operations ng BIR. Bawal ang audit. Bawal ang field work.
Para sa karamihan, ito ay panahon ng Pahinga. Pero para sa mga wais na Accountant, Bookkeeper, at Business Owner (BOSS), ito ay panahon ng Atake.
Sa katahimikan na ito, may 3 Golden Opportunities na nagbukas. At ang una ang pinaka-game changer sa lahat.
🎯 OPPORTUNITY #1: THE "ZOMBIE LOA" KILLER
Open your minds to this: Karamihan sa sakit ng ulo ng business owners ay galing sa mga "Zombie LOA"—yung mga audit na 2 o 3 taon na, pero buhay pa rin. Paulit-ulit lang na "revalidated" ng Revenue Officer (RO) dahil hindi nila matapos-tapos.
They keep extending the life of the audit just to harass you.
Pero dahil sa RMC 107-2025, putol ang lifeline nila.
Ayon sa Section V ng Circular: "No revalidation, extension, replacement, or supplementary LOA... shall be issued during the suspension period."
Here is the Strategy: Habang suspended sila, tumatakbo pa rin ang orasan. The "Statute of Limitations" (Prescription Period) does not stop just because the RO is grounded.
Kung ang authority ng LOA mo ay mag-e-expire habang suspended sila—at bawal nila itong i-extend o i-revalidate—the assessment effectively dies.
Kapag bumalik sila after the suspension at expired na ang papel nila? GAME OVER. You can legally argue to cancel the assessment on technical grounds. The audit becomes void.
So, Accountants and Bosses, here is your homework: Huwag lang mag-abang.
Check your LOA Dates. Kailan ang expiration?
Check your Waivers. Kailan ang deadline?
Do not panic. Keep calm and watch the clock run out.
This suspension is not just a delay. It is a weapon. Use it.
WAIT. HINDI PA TAYO TAPOS.

Natataranta ang ibang Group Supervisors (GS) na may hawak ng "Zombie LOAs"—yung mga kasong malapit nang mag-expire (prescribe). Alam nilang kapag inabutan sila ng expiration habang suspended ang BIR, mamamatay ang kaso nila.
THEIR TACTIC: Tatawagan ka nila. Sasabihin nila: "Sir/Ma'am, suspended tayo, pero para formality lang, paki-sign naman itong Waiver of the Defense of Prescription para hindi mag-lapse ang period namin."
Tataniman ka ng takot. Sasabihin nilang para sa'yo ito.
THE TRUTH: Ang Waiver ay para sa KANILA, hindi para sa'yo. Binibigyan mo sila ng extra time para habulin ka pagkatapos ng suspension. You are saving them from their own deadline.
Kapag nakatanggap ka ng ganitong request ngayon, ito ang dapat mong gawin:
❌ WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT DO:
HUWAG PUMIRMA AGAD. Do not sign under pressure.
Huwag maniwala na "formality" lang ito. A waiver is a legal document giving up your right to be free from indefinite assessment.
Huwag makipag-usap sa tawag o text. Keep everything formal.
âś… WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
STOP THE CLOCK. Check your dates. Kung malapit na silang mag-expire, hayaan mo silang pawisan. Not your problem.
DEMAND A FORMAL REQUEST. Sabihin mo, "Pakipadala ng official letter regarding that request." (Madalas, hindi nila gagawin ito kasi alam nilang tagilid sila).
REPLY FORMALLY. If they insist, you need to decline in writing, citing the current suspension and your rights.
