I finally finished this book, and honestly, I’m so proud of myself. Despite my current headspace, I managed to finish it in less than a week. 🥹
I loved Seven Year Slip. As a dark romance reader, I didn’t expect this book to hit me the way it did. It has been all over my FYP for what feels like forever, and I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen a single bad review. Now I understand why.
This book left me with so many mixed emotions that I’m still struggling to put them into words. Around halfway through, I kept thinking, this is just heartbreak waiting to happen. And in a way, it was. But it was also so much more than that.
It’s emotional. Bittersweet. Tender. The kind of story that makes you cry but somehow leaves you with a warm heart afterward.
I connected with Clementine in ways I didn’t expect, especially because I’m grieving too. Maybe that’s why certain parts of this story hit a little deeper than they normally would.
Ashley Poston wrote this so beautifully. There’s something about the way this story handles love, loss, timing, and letting go that just stayed with me.
Thank you to all my friends who kept recommending this to me. I finally understand the hype. 🥹
I finished this book, but I don’t think I’m the same person who started it. 🤍 Definitely one I’ll be thinking about for a long time. Have you read this book? What are your thoughts? 💭
