Values & Ethics Bridging Towards Faith & Ministry:

One arm of my professional career includes Financial Consultancy through Pru Life UK.

Over the past seven to eight years in sales and service in the insurance industry, the journey has been colorful, filled with purpose, meanings and rewards. Seeing the professional growth from the ground until breakthroughs happened, the good habits and passion to do business were nurtured from the cutting edge training, very supportive systems and generous incentives provided by the company.

But like any paths we take, there are humps and bumps, roads can be straight or curved, so we have to carefully watch our moves. Circumstances lead us to where we are moving next, and these conditions take place at certain times and places. Oftentimes, we do not see the promising impacts of these situations quickly, but how we manage the course of the plot twists matters so much in responding to what is happening during those moments.

Truly, God sets the pace in every place and time. Until the light comes to give us the space to understand. The kind of values and ethics that we choose to live by create a great influence on the kind of people, environment and outlooks we associate with, and we stand for.

And when the season is due, we see the turn of events with clarity in our views, with reconciliation on the things we hope to achieve, and with affirmation that plans become valid and decisions become decisive because of the gift of faith. Over-all, it is looking at these milestones in the perspective of a ministry where we are called for a purpose.

Dedicating these reflections to a very special person, a family man, a successful business executive, a compassionate leader, a great mentor, and a dedicated servant leader in Servants of the Living God Ministry, Sir Junjun G. Ocampo.

Together with my family, we are profoundly grateful for gifting us with a very beautiful person whose heart, wisdom, generosity and professional character are phenomenal. We pray that all these good things you’ve shared will multiply in the lives of the people you touch, especially your family.

Hi there! My name is Hazel Maglinte Joyohoy, and today let me share some personal thoughts in line with my advocacy in financial literacy.

About me:
I am dynamic & obsessed on a journey to discover my true potentials, generous in maximizing these gifts enriching beyond self, and make a positive impact in the community where I am planted. Let me take you through one arm of my many facets that define me, being a Financial Advisor.

Reflections:
For those who have been in the challenging crossroads of meeting requisites of retention parameters in this career, like some of you, I found myself drawn far from the routine intensive essentials packaged in the business. Last year, God’s calling for me to shift my cores in church ministry was loudly manifested. It was the beginning of my gradual and random limitations in the company’s constant updates, meetings and equippings.

But because being an FA has been an advocacy close to my heart, I had my influencing seasons during those times of last year. And those were part of the planting approaches in our industry’s language. This 2024, perhaps the Science of Harvesting comes when there was planting that was made and nurtured with consistency and sincerity to advocate.

Grinding hard on the process of enrolling my clients online yesterday after pooling all necessary information and assessments had led me to a lot of lessons. Consequently, the process didn’t succeed due to some updates in meeting some requirements. The best part of the company, is the easy access of support from everyone. Though I and my team (especially AUM Analiza Carizo-Bañadera Hernandez, my activation partner in Pru ASK ZARAH, and Ms. Celine and Ms. Joy of Jasper DU) had our work around in these compliances, time was the challenging concern. We had to wait until all that is required is complied. I was very clear and timely in guiding my clients, and I am thankful that they too have been very cooperative and considerate in understanding the essential protocols as explained. So our experience yesterday had brought me this blog as I aimed to share the experiences and lessons that have molded me in the life of a Financial Advisor.

Valuing-self worth is important so we look at ourselves with affirmation and pride.

7. Moving forward
Moving forward is an attitude of hope instead of being stuck in the momentum when you are down.
8. Be ready and be open to new beginnings
Be ready and be open to new beginnings whatever the future awaits for you. A fresh start isn’t a new place, it’s a mindset.

Hi everyone! It’s been a while that this platform has been in low key as I have been drawn to the women ministry of our church.

But over the past short period that this financial consultancy platform has not been actively maximized, I am more than fulfilled to say that I have been actively doing my services to my clients.

Highlights include:
📌Being able to fulfill a 2.5 Million Sum Assured of a 35 YO client who passed away due to unexpected illness
📌 Being an agent that aid 100K and 500K to early 50 year old plus clients who were diagnosed with critical illnesses both Cancers

PRULIFE UK, Still a Winning Insurer!

"The insurance industry has always been seen as boring and 25 years ago Philam (AIA), Insular, and Sunlife, dominated the market and seemed invincible.

As our economy developed the market has quintupled over the past 24 years and taking a step back, change is very apparent.

While Sunlife was able to more or less maintain its position and grow with the market, new companies came in and captured market share, causing both Philam (AIA) and Insular to become insignificant players.

Initially Pru and AXA and Manulife expanded fast. The last two by developing bank distribution, while the first one built their own agency network with 50,000 agents. That turned out to be the most sustainable wat to grow, although not the most profitable it seems.

With the former CEO of Pru joining FWD, we might see Pru's growth going to being shared with FWD, that had plateaued the past 4 years.

Here’s something worth sharing in my Financial Consultancy Work. Yes! ✨🙌

I reached out my one of my clients last night, updating her of the progress of her policy. As of yesterday evening, they already have Php 80K plus Fund Values.

This demonstrates the impact of discipline that have kept her goals on track. To have the protection coverage of her husband (being the insured) with part of savings invested for their retirement needs in the future.

This is a VUL Plan and our client was grateful of the decision they made years ago. Now that they are in the need to have a partial amount to use, they are even more comfortable to realize that they have accumulated some funds already.

Client Servicing provide the ultimate impact of doing this advocacy as a Professional Financial Consultant. Last night was a heartful meeting with the family representative (sister) of my client who just recently rested in peace with the Lord.

I was providing an orientation with the step by step guide on the Death (Basic Cover) Claim Processing of my deceased client. At the moment when the Policy Data Page was reviewed, we were both emotional in tracing back the beginning of how the policy was valued by the insured. He was a believer of proactiveness and adequate financial planning.

How sad to realize his life loss, but how grateful is the family for his commendable decision when he was still actively engaged in work. May his actions become a living and inspiring reference for the rest of us. 💕
