Financial Literacy is not just about teaching how to make money or to have more money. We teach Financial Literacy so people would know what to do next with their hard-earned money.
May it be an income from a business or money received from a salary, one must;
- SAVE some amount from it.
- then let his/her savings grow, by INVESTing it.
- next, one must know how to PROTECT his/her investment
- and to ensure his/her effort will not go in vain, but pass them on to their next generations, learning on how to PRESERVE money or their accumulated wealth, is a BIG BIG MUST in the process.
But hold on! Is preservation of wealth the ultimate purpose of saving and making your money grow?
Nah!
Let's go out the circle where we are now. And, see things through the lens of God.
... what do you see? Me,
I see that money comes from God, that I don't own it. So, it is but proper to give back what is due to Him. And to listen from Him, on what He wants us to do with His money. And, be good steward of it.
Seeing things through God's lens, is seeing His true purpose of financial blessings for us. To wit;
- to be blessed to be a blessing
- to fund His word
- to be a witness
- to be an influence
Embracing the real purpose of God financially blessing us, in season and out of season, we cannot help but INSPIRE and, SHARE.
SHARING FINANCIAL LITERACY is something missional.
Kudos maam Femelie Zamora Tingson for your heart to the mission of helping more families financially educated.
