MORESCO-1 Community Cooperative Champions Solidarity at PFCCO Mindanao League Assembly
Cagayan de Oro City — Demonstrating the enduring spirit of cooperation beyond electrification, the MORESCO-1 Employees, Retirees, and Community Multipurpose Cooperative (MERCMPC) actively participated in the 30th Annual General Assembly and Educational Forum of the PFCCO Mindanao League, reinforcing its role as a dynamic force in empowering communities through cooperative enterprise.
Held on April 24–25, 2026 at the Platinum Hall, Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, the gathering convened cooperative leaders and advocates across Mindanao under the theme “Cooperatives Build a Better World.”
Representing MERCMPC was a committed delegation led by Chairperson Cinderella A. Eballe, alongside Vice Chair Rio M. Vallejo, Directors Concepcion D. Sotoniel, Audrey Mae Alpeche, Archibald G. Pacana, and Operations Manager Dennis Sayongan. Their presence exemplifies MORESCO-1’s expanding footprint—not only as a power provider but as a catalyst for inclusive, member-driven development.
Participation in the forum enabled MERCMPC to engage in high-level discussions on cooperative impact, financial empowerment, and sustainability—critical pillars that resonate deeply with the cooperative’s mission. Through shared learning sessions and real-life case presentations, the delegation gained strategic insights on strengthening grassroots initiatives, improving member services, and embracing innovation in cooperative governance.
More than attendance, MERCMPC’s involvement symbolized continuity—bridging generations of service from active employees to retirees, all unified by a shared commitment to uplift lives. It is this collective identity that fuels the cooperative’s programs, ensuring that progress is both inclusive and sustainable.
Chairperson Eballe mentioned that the cooperative’s strength lies in its members: “Our participation reflects our belief that true development happens when communities take part in shaping their own future. We bring back not just learnings, but renewed purpose.”
Vice Chair Vallejo said "aligned with MORESCO-1’s overarching banner this year —“Governance Stronger, Service Smarter, Future Brighter”—MERCMPC continues to serve as a living testament to how cooperative values translate into real-world impact. As the cooperative movement evolves in an increasingly complex landscape, MERCMPC stands firm—energizing communities, empowering lives, and proving that when people come together with purpose, transformation follows.
