The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Regulations No. 07-2026, amending certain provisions of RR No. 07-10 concerning the sharing of the financial burden of senior citizen discounts and the corresponding tax deduction.

📌 Key points to remember:

* Establishes guidelines for sharing the cost of the mandatory 20% senior citizen discount among entities in the pharmaceutical supply chain.
* Only businesses that actually granted the discount may claim the corresponding deduction, subject to applicable conditions.
* Under a documented burden-sharing agreement, each claimant may deduct only its corresponding share of the discount.

The BIR RDO No. 71-Aklan reminds all its online sellers, merchants, and individuals or businesses selling goods or services through digital or electronic platforms to generate and display their BIR Registration Seal Badge.

🗓️ Extended Deadline: October 31, 2026

How to Generate Your Seal Badge:

1. Log in to the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS).
2. Access the feature for generating your Registration Seal Badge.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to generate your badge.
4. Download or save the generated badge.
5. Display the badge as required by BIR regulations.

✅ Reminder: Complete the process and display your Registration Seal Badge on or before October 31, 2026.

Clarification on Certain Issued and Concerns in the Implementation of the Enhanced Electronic Documentary Stamp Tax (eDST) System Pursuant to Revenue Regulations No. 28-2025.

📅 𝐄𝐍𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄: DECEMBER 31, 2026

All taxpayers covered by the mandatory use of the Enhanced eDST System are required to enroll on or before the prescribed deadline.

Newly registered taxpayers covered by the mandate must enroll within 90 days from the date of their registration with the BIR.
