The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has issued Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 5-2026 dated January 12, 2026 and issued January 23, 2026, introducing the LOA Verifier feature through the REVIE chatbot to protect taxpayers from unauthorized audit activities.

​How to Verify
​• Visit www.bir.gov.ph and access Chatbot REVIE.
​• Select LOA Verifier from the menu.
​• Input the TIN, Taxpayer Name, and LOA Case Number.
​
Verification Outcomes
​• LOA FOUND: The document is authentic; no further action is needed.
​• LOA NOT FOUND: Taxpayers must email [email protected] with a copy of the LOA and relevant details (TIN, Name, Case Number, and Issuing Office).

​Response Timeline
​• The BIR Assessment Service will validate the document and provide an official response within three (3) working days of receiving the email request.
